It seems that my son, Large, isn't the troublemaker his mother reported him to be. He likes to skateboard and he'd rather hang out with friends than study, but I have a copy of his report card in my hand and there's nothing short of an A on it. He doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink, and he was open in telling me that tried smoking pot a couple of times. Him telling me that is all I could ask for . . . I'd rather have the honesty than anything else. He's polite, he's willing to do anything I ask, and he's not whined once about anything. He's a good kid.
This week I've had him working with me. Yesterday we finished up this building:
Here's a closer view from the other side:
It's a nursing home - assisted living for the elderly. One of the nice older ladies opened her window and tried to give Large a Keychain for doing such a good job making her windows sparkle so nicely.
Here he is . ..
after the jump
My guess is that it's not the kid that is the problem. Just a guess.

I have to admit when you first told me about the exes "concerns" I was a little shocked. I am glad that he's who we all thought he was. He's honest with you and really for a teenage boy... What more can you ask for? And he's a babe, too. * whistles* ;)
Now if he'd help me win a bet now and then, he'd be damn near perfect!

He's also polite, and yet not a dork at all.

hell my mother (wayyyyyyyyyyyyy back in the day) even tried pot once.
i'm so very happy large is there for the summer. he's a teenager. little riffs between them and parental units (not necessarily both) are supposed to happen.
like cherise said, he's CUTE!

It is so important to have a kid who has no problem talking honestly and openly with you. Heck I use to skate board when I was his age (of course I was hell on wheels) Large sounds quite normal.
