For those of you who followed The Story of the Vase, I had a long talk with Rodney on the phone this weekend. He's in love with his new home. There are so many things to unpack and for him, decorating his room is going to be a work of art - he's a perfectionist. He's also going to start his jewelry business back up. He crafts crystal necklaces, bracelets, and earrings for several upscale shops in New York and Paris. He put this business aside because he couldn't concentrate or get his mind in a good spot. He told me that he's expecting an order of Swarovski crystal beads and he's got new designs in mind.
He can hear children from his window and that makes him happy. He's living near a school and a church, as well as within walking distance of a lake and the most scenic cemetery in the city. He's not afraid to go outside and walk. Back in the "building" he was scared to go anywhere for fear someone was out to get him. This move is a fresh start.
I told him that John and Jacob said hi. His response was, "Tell them hi. J&J's relationship is the only beautiful thing created in that horrible building."
I think Rodney's going to be okay. I told him I'd come over and see his new home after my work season was over. There's just no time right now.
Next week I'm going to have a new story for y'all. I just haven't decided what story that's going to be as yet.
- rick, taking a breather

Kind of what Rose said.
Thank you for the Rodney update. You gave us someone we came to care about, knowing he's happy, fine, and planning a future is a nice ending to his story.
