I've been learning a lot about ladders on the Internet. I use ladders a lot in my work and new techniques are important. I might try them out next time I'm at Tim's house. ;-) Without further adieu, here are the photos I've found most valuable:

I've used the front-end loader technique. I've also used one not picture here where I put the ladder on two folding chairs to give me just a bit more height. My wife thinks I'm an idiot but she was kind enough to hold the ladder for me since a shift of 1/16th of inch would have toppled me.

while in China at our facility, I observed a forklift with ladder on teh forks being used to close the high windows....
