So, I've been writing these vignettes, and you've been reading them. It's gotten me thinking - what if I recorded them and uploaded as mp3 files . . . a simultaneous podcast. Read it, listen to it, or both.
What do you think?
I wonder what I'd need to be able to accomplish this? Just a microphone, or is there a lot more to it than that? I have a decent reading voice and the practice would do me good for when I'm doing public readings. Do any of you know what it takes to put up podcasts? If so, could you tell me.
Vote: Yay, or Nay.
- rick, reminiscing.

I vote Yay. I have no idea how it's done so I can't help you there.

Rick, I vote YAY! And I have some blogfriends who do podcasts, so I could ask what is required if you'd like.
You may enjoy the one: http://www.eighthourlunch.com/ Doug at Eight Hour Lunch is hilarious and has been doing podcasts for a while. I'd email him if I were you. Tell him I sent you. :)

And when you find out how to do it, share the info.

I say do a podcast. If I can figure out how to get it onto my ipod, I will listen to it.
Now, do you want to go to a movie tonight? Louise, Dan and I are sitting here thinking about going to see Hot Fuzz at the Lagoon at 7:10.

Welp... the first step is admitting you need help ;-)
I'd start here: http://podcast.com/
If you want a wider audience, you'll need a RSS feed that contains ONLY podcasts, then you can promote it. I think Typepad allows for multiple RSS feeds, or maybe even a direct podcast feed.

Okay, it looks like it's a go. Except Brian started speaking in some language I don't understand . . . feeds, direct podcast feeds, etc. I'm a bit confused by that.
