Yesterday, in my mailbox, appeared a surprise. Enclosed in a Birthday envelope was a single cassette tape, one recorded twenty-three years ago. The story goes like this:
I love playing basketball. When I was a teenager I'd play all day long, every day. A pair of brothers, Terry and Kelly Harding ,were my teammates and we'd take all comers on our court (at an elementary school nearby). Kelly and Terry were redheads and couldn't tan, so they both had perpetually sunburned skin and we called our team the Redmen.
On that tape, Redman Theme Songs, is ninety minutes of theme music we'd play on a loop in a boombox beside the court. I don't even remember what songs are on it, but we loved them. LOVED THEM!
Now, I have to go buy a used tape deck (I don't even own one any longer) and play that tape . . . maybe burn it onto CD, or recreate it by downloading all those songs and burning them in order.
Thanks, Alan . . . I don't know how in the hell you managed to hold onto that tape.

Whe

Fred was holding on to it for me. He said to tell you hi.

Fred? Does he still hate cats?

He has learned a bit more tolerance as he gets older. I wouldn't say that he is friendly with them but he's not as aggressive.

That was sweet of him, to save it all those years and then give it to you.

what suprises me is that the tape is still listenable! BTW, I have an old tape deck still Rick, want to use it for a bit? Actually is is a quite nice one, $600 in it's day....now relegated to a paper weight type status...

I don't know that it's listenable.
And Yes, Mark, I'd like to use it. Thank you.

It is listenable. I listened to it before I sent it to make sure.
